We finished the book: Fred Wagner, An American Painter (1860-1940)
The book was written by my sister, Susan, and me. Our cousin, Walter Robinson III contributed an essay on Wagner's style. The biography includes 100 photographs of Wagner's paintings that belong to museums, collectors and galleries.
The photograph above is Wagner in his studio at 1520 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, circa 1930. This will appear on the back cover of the book. It is being published by xLibris and should be released the end of 2009, beginning of 2010. We are having a few book release/signing events in 2010. Stay tuned for more information.
My next project is a one-hour radio special I produced about the book written by Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band. In an interview recorded in August in Los Angeles, he talked about the book, his relationship with his boss, Bruce Springsteen; how they met, and what his life has been like ever since. To see some of the video interviews, go to: http://www.youtube.com/user/ClassicRockArchive
The radio special will air on stations around the country the last two weeks of October.
I visited Portland, Oregon over Labor Day weekend to see my friend David. There are about eight bridges that connect the city.
Everything is very clean and relatively new (compared to Philadelphia)
The neighborhoods are full of flowers and nice landscaping
The weather was great - blue skies and sunshine
