Adam and Halli's wedding, May 9, 2009
outside of Savannah, Georgia
My nephew Adam and his bride Halli got married near her home town in Georgia. It was a carnival theme wedding.
One of Halli's friends designed and made her dress by hand. They are all artists. They met at Savannah College of Art and Design.
Halli made a fun entrance in a 1965 shiny Ford Pick-up Truck that her mother drove. (She lost her father a few years ago.) It was 90 degrees that day.
They are going to live in Philadelphia around the Northern Liberties section and be artists. They both design and make jewelry.
Future weddings I will be attending, no doubt, of my nephew Riley, niece Lilly Drue and nephew Graham, three of my brother Leidy's four kids. It was the most unique wedding I ever attended!
All of their friends they met at SCAD helped with the wedding. These are the new generation of artists. To find out who they are, check out the "credits" section of their wedding website called A belle and a Yankee (dot com.)

Upcoming Art Events
The next art show I'm featured in will be at the Newman Galleries, 1625 Walnut Street, Philadelphia. It is the 2009 Members Exhibition of the Philadelphia Sketch Club. The opening reception is Saturday, June 6, 2009 from noon - 4 PM. It will run through July 3.
My photograph "Midnight Bottle Club" was taken during a shoot last year with the band of the same name in an old abandoned warehouse near Roxborough along the Wissahickon Creek. There is colorful graffiti all over the walls of the warehouse that I think has since been torn down. Come see it in the prestigious Newman Galleries with the gorgeous mat and frame by Coll's Custom Framing in Conshohocken.
